In the thumbnail, those looked like giant ants crawling through the break in the wall. When I look at it closer, they look like musical notes, but I'm not really sure of that. Or is it more abstract than I'm trying to make it be?

I actually think it IS finished. The aesthetic choice is to present the finished project AS unfinished.
I'd like it better if those were ants!
