49/366: telephone booth



Telephone booths have become such a rarity that when they appear now it is usually as a novelty item, like this one. One thing that draws me to this one is that the lettering is perfect while the paint behind the lettering is faded and distressed. I'm sure this would make a good metaphor for something.

I love this! Maybe the metaphor is that even though telephone booths are fading away, the telephone is still going strong in a different form. Or something like that...lol! I was just thinking the other day about the fact that I haven't used a pay phone in so many many years and how you hardly ever see them anymore.
